This 85 year old vineyard has sandy loam soils which produces a bold but soft wine with mellow tannins. White pepper spice adds to the complex, rich wine. Fermented in micro bins, barrel aged for 14 months in American oak. Blended with a small amount of Petite Sirah.
With 75% Sangiovese and 25% Estate Cabernet, this wine begins with a complex bouquet of rich cherry and floral scents combined with aromas of fresh cut wood and earth. Darker fruit flavors from the Cabernet coupled with the lighter Sangiovese create a harmonious flavor marriage with a soft tannic structure. This fruit-driven wine is accented by a subtle herbal quality along with a smooth and oaky finish.
This medium-sweet wine begins with plum and chocolate aromas that continue onto the palate joined by notes of dried fruit and raspberry with hints of sweet spice and coffee on the long silky finish. This wine pairs well with robust cheese, savory BBQ meats, or lightly spiced dishes.

On the palate, bright cherry and raspberry are complimented by smoky oak and a smooth finish of fruit and earth. This medium-bodied wine is low in tannin with refreshing acidity.
Light floral and lavender aromas with cherry vanilla notes.This Cabernet is nicely structured with light tannins, cherry, and subtle hints of chocolate that linger on the palate giving a soft smooth finish.
Tart cherry and cranberry on the nose expand on the palate joined by herbal notes, a touch of white pepper, and a long fruit finish laced with minerality. This dry, light-bodied wine has vibrant acidity and is low in tannin.
As always, this is a blend of almost all the wines we make. We then add 25% of our Port to the wine and give it just a little more time in oak. Each bottling is slightly different but always with 25% Port.
