Wines

With 'petite' referring only to the size of the grape, this wine possesses huge flavor and color intensity. From the heart of Lodi, in the fine sandy soils of the Mokelumne River sub-AVA, this wine exemplifies the true varietal character of Petite Sirah with its depth of color and highly distinctive flavor, while subtly boasting a graceful tannic structure.

A grape of Italian origin, Barbera is best known for its high levels of natural acidity coupled with a propensity to ripen relatively late. These innate varietal characteristics sing in perfect harmony with Lodi's long hot summers by allowing the grapes ample time on the vine. When fully ripened, sugar levels exceed the acids resulting in a perfectly well-balanced wine, eagerly enticing the palate for another sip.

Barbera, like most black grapes, contains a white flesh inside its dark outer skin. Traditionally used to make red wine, Barbera is an Italian varietal best known for its high levels of natural acidity coupled with bright fruity qualities. By carefully eliminating any skin to juice contact during the crushing and fermentation process, we have created a uniquely refreshing wine reminiscent of “summertime in a glass.” This brilliant full-bodied white wine resonates with vibrant acidity, singing in unison with its bounty of crisp fruit flavor.

Viognier provides us with a rich and full-bodied style wine. Though the historical origin is unknown there is great possibility it came from Dalmatia, which is present day Croatia. Viognier seeks out sunny regions and cool nights, which helps the varietal to maintain its precious acidity and this is what makes Lodi AVA, a perfect place to grow Viognier.

This will be one you will want to swirl in your glass and enjoy with someone you love.

Developed in 1948 at the University of California, Davis, Symphony is a white grape crossing of French natives Grenache Gris and Muscat of Alexandria. Created with intent to thrive in the hot summer days that characterize our region, this varietal perfectly plays its masterpiece on the stage of Lodi. As Muscat’s floral fruity notes sing in harmony with the structure and spice of Grenache, this wine resonates a beautiful balance of sweetness and acidity.

One of the first grape varietals to be cultivated specifically for wine.  The Romans found it growing in Burgandy, France around  2000 years ago.  This grape varietal is known as one of the oldest grapes on the planet.  Our Pinot is silky and fresh, with notes of cherry, cranberry & oak.  These grapes are grown right here in the Mokelumne River sub-appelation of the Lodi AVA.  Barrel aged for 12 months in French Oak.  100% Pinot Noir.

If any single wine were known by texture alone, Merlot could easily be synonymous with the word ‘smooth.’ Famed for its distinctively silky tannins coupled with remarkable richness of dark fruit flavor, Merlot’s roots as a classic Bordeaux grape have expanded across the globe making it one of the world’s most planted red wine vines. These lusciously plump, thinner-skinned berries ripen effortlessly in the warm days and cool nights of Lodi, thus creating a wine that perfectly embodies the beautiful character of this varietal.
