Spain's most popular red varietal, Tempranillo thrives in Lodi's Mediterranean-like climate with warm summer days and cool nights. From the Clements Hills sub-AVA of Lodi, a region characterized by its low rolling hills and rich mixture of loam and clay soils, this wine embodies Tempranillo's full hearty flavor while keeping in touch with its softer delicate side.
Widely known as California's signature grape, Zinfandel enjoys the long and dry growing season of Lodi in the well-draining sandy-loam soils of the Mokelumne River sub-AVA. This exotic black grape has a unique tendency to ripen unevenly, leaving some grapes to raisin on the vine before others reach full maturity. It is this extended hang-time, which creates an intense concentration of sugar in the fruit, that brings out the robust flavor of the varietal while naturally maintaining some residual sugar.
An elegant blend of our Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah. This dark and bold red wine is full bodied and nicely structured, leaving a nice lingering mouth feel.
We picked the best barrels of our 2022 Zinfandel and blended in 25% Petite Sirah. This creates a bold version of Old Vine Zinfandel. Our best Zinfandel.
As it's brilliant pink pigment glistens in your glass, this rosé smells of crisp apple and pear with delicate floral hints. Flavors intensify at first sip revealing bright notes of cranberry and ruby red grapefruit that are perfectly accentuated by the wine's cool refreshing acidity.
As always, this is a blend of almost all the wines we make. We then add 25% of our Port to the wine and give it just a little more time in oak. Each bottling is slightly different but always with 25% Port.
Symphony is a grape created at UC Davis in the late 1940's. It is a cross between Muscat of Alexandria and Grenache Gris. Our 2023 is 10.5% alcohol with a very lovely fragrant nose and semi sweet. Wonderful any time of the year but particularly refreshing during our warm summer months.
One of the world's most renowned varietals originating from the wine powerhouse of Bourdeaux, France, Cabernet Sauvignon is highly regarded as one of California's most important wine grapes. As the pride of our Estate, which is nestled in the rich sandy-loam soils of the Mokelumne River sub-AVA, our 5 acres of Cabernet flourish beautifully in the hot days and cool nights of Lodi, allowing these small, thick-skinned, and distinctively blue-colored grapes to ripen gradually, thus creating a wine with remarkable fruit flavor and soft tannins.
